Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
It's been a bad couple of years for unnecessary and dreadful sequels and/or soft reboots of 80s/90s hits (Ghostbusters etc.), but this 30-years-later sequel to Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is pretty great.
The middle-aged Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) have not found their promised success; in need of a hit song, they determine to consult their future selves, resulting in a series of increasingly bizarre encounters. Meanwhile, their children also take up the quest.
A retread/homage without feeling utterly shameless (compare: Terminator: Dark Fate), it's genuinely enjoyable.
