Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Rian Johnson recommended this 70s whodunnit as an inspiration for Glass Onion, and the similarities are plain to see: Clinton (James Coburn) invites a group of friends to spend a week playing a detailed murder-mystery parlour game aboard his yacht. His apparent ulterior motive: confronting the player responsible for the hit and run death of his wife a year earlier.
The twisty plot that follows is much less fun, however, painting a darker picture of toxic relationships and traumatic secrets. But the plotting is magnificent.
