A strange face in Heaven in the morning
Fantastic performances, most notably Victor McLaglen's Oscar-winning protagonist, but the film hasn't aged well. It's especially problematic thematically, given both changed attitudes towards the IRA and terrorism in general: Gypo's betrayal is less ambiguous than it was in 1935.
Horribly depressing, but worth a look, especially for those brilliant sequences which do hold up today.
