Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
A generic old-man-turned-action-hero flick in the Taken vein: 72-year-old Ron Perlman hunts down the gangsters responsible for the murder of his nogoodnik son, accompanied by his granddaughter (Emma Ho). It's pretty well put together, other than some particularly feeble fight sequences (such as one in a pitch black truck), but fizzles out to nothing much. Good performances.
