They encouraged movement between marathons, so we left the "Chop Socky" martial-arts fest after High Risk, desperate to avoid suffering through Ong-bak again, and moved into "A Zombie Vampire Alien Ate My Cinema".
Alien was halfway through -- we arrived just in time for the chest-bursting scene -- and the tension in the cinema was so thick you could cut it with a knife; it made for an interesting change in atmosphere after the, ah, healthy disrespect in the High Risk theatre.
It's the first time I've ever seen a horror film on the big screen, and I finally, finally understand the appeal.
