I've seen the feeding-machine scene approximately eight thousand times now; it is apparently compulsory that it be shown alongside every single lecture mentioning modernity. It's good to finally get the context, though it's clear why the later parts weren't shown: the first half is as brilliant a satire of industrialization and the alienation of the worker as you're likely to find; the second half is just as funny, but less pointed.
