Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Suffers the stifling staginess suffered by most adaptations from the stage, but Tennessee Williams's original play is good enough -- and the actors perfect enough -- that the obvious choreography of it creates a sense of ineluctability; rather than shrinking to fit the stage, the microcosmic scene grows to mythic proportions.
In case you couldn't tell, I liked it.
