Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
I had never even heard of this 90s-feels-like-70s thriller with Kurt Russell, but Paul Feig recommended it on Films to be Buried With #190.
Jeff (Russell) and his wife Amy (Kathleen Quinlan) have a breakdown on a cross-country trip; Amy gets a ride to a nearby diner from a passing truck driver, only to disappear without trace. A wonderfully tight action-thriller, blending road movie with Hitchcock and a touch of hicksploitation. It should go in a box set with Roadgames. Great fun.
