Atrocious
A Better Tomorrow was no Shakespeare, but its sequel fails even to reach the exalted heights of Dan Brown.
The popularity of Chow Yun-Fat's character Mark demanded his return; unfortunately for sensible people everywhere, Mark's death demanded that return come in the form of his hitherto-unmentioned twin brother Ken. Much of the film is taken up by a series of bizarre food-related drama sequences and an interminable, incomprehensible mental breakdown.
Those waiting for the carnage might as well skip to the end, for the find an impressive, or at least impressively large, shootout. It's uninspiring action, but at least there are hundreds of bodies.
