Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
It seemed almost self-hating. Nia Vardalos's fiancé might grow to like her family, and even his parents -- having drunk sufficient ouzo -- can get past their revulsion, but it never seems that she does. She wants to be a blonde cheerleader. It isn't one of those warming comedies that paints an intimate, affectionate portrait; it's a long-suffering, biting crack: "look at what I have to put up with."
