Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Jawsome
The humour from the first film is knocked up a notch or three, making for two and a half hours of very amusing, but usually quite silly, action. That there's so much of it goes a long way towards explaining the surprisingly-satisfying cliffhanger ending: even superbly entertaining action gets a little tiresome after a while, so a break was something of a relief.
As with the first film, Jack Sparrow is the single greatest reason to watch; it's no mean achievement in a cast dominated by comic relief. On the other side of the coin, I was quite irritated by octopus-headed Davy Jones and his amazing changing accent; his gang of Street Sharks were, somehow, even worse.
But still: sublimely brain-dead entertainment!
