Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Dramatization of the case of Lindy Chamberlain (Meryl Streep), convicted for the murder of her baby daughter Azaria, whom she claimed had been taken from their tent by a dingo. I visited Uluru for the first time myself earlier this year, so part of the charm here was seeing a time capsule of the rock as it was 30 years ago -- before it was treated with the respect it is now.
It's rare to see Hollywood features set in Australia and rarer still to see one that feels like an Australian movie, but this one does. The accent is notoriously difficult but Meryl (opposite New Zealander Sam Neill) does wonderfully. Very good.
