Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
I've been watching quite a bit of horror recently but it all pales in comparison to this nightmare vision of hell: widower Frank (Henry Fonda), with his ten children, gets together with Helen (Lucille Ball), who has eight.
It's far better than could reasonably be expected from a silly family comedy. It's a lively script with some unexpectedly great lines -- "It was a typical wedding: enemies of the bride on the right, enemies of the groom on the left." The ludicrous setup is also mined for good fun, though everyone involved rather hams it up.
