Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Lighthearted Billy Wilder/I.A.L Diamond romantic comedy about a staid executive (Jack Lemmon) who rushes to Italy to retrieve his deceased father's body, only to learn that he had been having a 10-year affair -- and the woman's daughter (Juliet Mills) is there to collect her mother's body too. Part romance, part ode to Italy, part black comedy -- the plot involves, in gentle continental fashion, blackmail, a murder, and the theft of several corpses -- and part satire of odes to Italy, it's utterly charming. Well worth a look.
