Film Illiterate, wherein the proprietor records movies seen, and sporadic progress through assorted lists of the "best". Originally started after regretfully renting something forgettable for the third time. I've forgotten what, but never again! A tedious endeavour since 2005. Hello. 🙂
Every time I see a dream sequence, I think of a scene from Living in Oblivion where Peter Dinklage's character is irritated by his role in the film-within-a-film:
The Cell isn't technically a dream sequence (it's Catherine Deane (J-Lo) wandering around inside the head of a comatose serial killer), of course, and there are no dwarves in it. Like Nick's sequence, though, it's an artificial, utterly unbelievable representation of an inexpressible inner space. Like Tito, I got sick of it pretty fast.
