I thought I'd revisit this after hearing it talked about so much on the Team Deakins podcast, and I have not really changed my mind: effective "smarthouse" movie, very accessible because no work at all is left to the audience.

After saying many bad things about it in my comments on Cool Hand Luke, it seemed like a good idea to watch this again. If anything, another viewing made its deficiencies all the more obvious: colour me unimpressed.
