I am completely fair
An intriguing anti-Western, twisting traditional genre elements into a sad, bleak picture of frontier life. Roger Ebert's retrospective gave me a whole bunch of reasons to like the film, but, well, I still didn't. No excuses, just a failure to engage.
It may have something do with the fact that I was doing the ironing, and paying more attention to my shirts than to the screen. *cough*
