Push the Button, Max!
Delightful old action-comedy probably best-known now for providing the inspiration for the "Wacky Racers" TV series. Debonair hero The Great Leslie (Tony Curtis) races from New York to Paris against the dastardly Professor Fate (Jack Lemmon), harassed all the while by Maggie DuBois (Natalie Wood), journalist and suffragette. None of Professor Fate's schemes -- involving explosives, cannons, mysterious flying machines and so on -- ever seem to turn out quite right...
Jack Lemmon steals it as Professor Fate and Prince Hapnik, but Max (Peter Falk) and Maggie are also solidly entertaining. Fantastic music. Worth seeing.
