Marvellously atrocious! It's poorly-paced, grandiloquently written, hammily acted, and takes place atop a naïve children's-fantasy Arabia. And it's wonderful. It's the kind of unsophisticated dream that long since went out of fashion -- more colourful, more magnificent, more vibrant than life (or what passes for fantasy nowadays). Dreadful, but charming in its way.
